What weight-loss hypnotherapy costs, and how many sessions you need
Here’s exactly what it costs to work with me, what you get, and how to think about the number of sessions. No “contact us for a quote”, and no pressure to buy more than you need.
Not every hypnotherapist publishes prices. I think you should know what you’re committing to before you book anything, so it’s all here.
How much does hypnotherapy for weight loss cost?
The consultation: £49, or £24.50 with code SLIM
Everyone starts with a consultation call over Zoom. We talk through your eating, what you’ve tried and what you’d like to change, and I’ll be honest about whether I can help. Use code SLIM at checkout for half price: £24.50 instead of £49 (or $29.50 outside the UK). The fee comes off your first session if you go ahead.
Single sessions
- 60 minutes: £399
- 90 minutes: £499
Packages
- 3 sessions of 60 minutes: £798
- 3 sessions of 90 minutes: £998
- 5 sessions of 60 minutes: £1,197
- 5 sessions of 90 minutes: £1,497
- 10 sessions of 60 minutes: £2,199
- 10 sessions of 90 minutes: £2,699
Packages cost less per session. Three sessions cost the same as two single sessions, and five cost the same as three.
What’s included
- A session built around you and your eating, not a generic script
- Conversation, practical habit change and hypnosis in every session
- A recording of the hypnosis from every session, yours to keep and listen to between sessions
- One or two things to practise before we meet again
Most sessions are online over Zoom, and face-to-face sessions in Hertfordshire are available by arrangement (see online and Hertfordshire).
How many sessions of hypnotherapy for weight loss will I need?
There’s no set number, and I won’t promise you a result in a certain number of sessions. What I can do is help you choose sensibly. These are the things we look at together on the consultation call:
- How many habits you want to change. One clear habit, such as evening snacking, is a different job from several patterns that feed each other.
- How long it’s been going on. Habits that started in childhood or have lasted for decades often need more time.
- What’s driving it. Eating that’s tied up with stress or feelings usually needs more work than eating on autopilot.
- How much you’ll practise. Listening to your recordings and trying the changes in real life matters as much as the sessions themselves.
- Your budget. A good plan is one you can afford to finish.
Some people start with a single session or a package of three, then decide whether to carry on. Others prefer to commit to five or ten so they can work through things properly. Either is fine.
Lower-cost and free ways to start
If you’re not ready to book sessions, or you’d like to hear my voice and approach first, there are cheaper ways in:
- Recorded sessions, £9.99 each. Hypnosis sessions from my store, each focused on one kind of eating, such as emotional eating, portions or sugar cravings.
- Two free downloads. Sign up by email on my free weight-loss hypnosis page and I’ll send you a code for two store sessions.
- The Hypnotist podcast. Hundreds of free episodes, many of them on eating and weight.
- The suitability test. A free four-minute suitability test that tells you honestly whether hypnotherapy is likely to suit you.
Is it worth the money?
Only you can judge that. Hypnotherapy may help with cravings, habits and emotional eating, but it works alongside sensible eating and moving more, not instead of them, and your own effort still counts. The research is mixed, and I’ve summarised it honestly on Does hypnosis work for weight loss? Not sure you’ll respond to hypnosis? Read Can everyone be hypnotised?
Common questions
How much does hypnotherapy for weight loss cost?
With me, a single 60-minute session is £399 and a 90-minute session is £499, with packages from £798 for three 60-minute sessions. The consultation is £49, or £24.50 with code SLIM, and the fee comes off your first session.
How many sessions of hypnotherapy for weight loss do I need?
There’s no fixed number, and nobody can honestly promise a result in a set number of sessions. It depends on how many habits you want to change, how long they’ve been going on and how much you practise between sessions. We agree a sensible plan together on the consultation call.
What’s included in a session?
Each session combines conversation, practical habit change and hypnosis, built around you. The hypnosis is recorded for you to keep and listen to between sessions.
Do I have to buy a package?
No. You can book a single session and decide from there. Packages simply cost less per session if you already know you want to work on things over several sessions.
Do face-to-face sessions cost the same?
Yes. Face-to-face sessions cost the same as online ones. Most people work with me online, and face-to-face sessions in Hertfordshire are by arrangement.

If you’re eating very little, making yourself sick, or feel your eating is out of your control, please speak to your GP, or contact Beat, the UK eating disorder charity, on 0808 801 0677. Hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical advice, and if you take prescribed medication, speak to your prescriber before changing anything. I work with adults only. Never listen to hypnosis recordings while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.
